Abstract

In July 2021, there was inflation of 0.58 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.92. From the eleven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, two groups experienced deflation, while the other four groups did not experience significant price changes. The highest inflation was experienced by the food, beverage and tobacco group at 1.95 percent with a CPI of 112.29.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most indexes of the expenditure group.
The inflation rate for the calendar year July 2021 is 2.33 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2021 against July 2020) is 2.40 percent.
