Abstract

In April 2021, there was an inflation of 0.41 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.30. From the eleven expenditure groups, five experienced inflation, and six other groups did not experience significant price changes. The transportation group experienced the highest inflation at 1.26 percent with the CPI at 104.13.

Inflation occurs due to price increases as indicated by increases in most indices for the expenditure group.

The inflation rate for the calendar year April 2021 is 0.78 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2021 against April 2020) is 1.57 percent.
