Abstract

In December 2022 in Palopo City there was year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.10.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the accumulated price index for all expenditure groups, namely: the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 6.68 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group by 1.03 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel Group by 2.07 percent; Equipment, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance Group by 2.32 percent; Health Group by 0.91 percent; Transportation Group by 15.60 percent; Information, Communication and Financial Services Group by 1.07 percent; Recreation, Sports and Culture Group by 1.04 percent; Education Group by 3.36 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group by 2.54 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services Group of 1.26 percent.
The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for December 2022 was recorded at 0.36 percent and the calendar year/year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 5.13 percent.
