Abstract

On December 2021, in Palopo Municipality, inflation was 0.65 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.58.
Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the accumulation of the price index for all expenditure groups. Of the eleven Expenditure Groups, five of them experienced inflation, namely: the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 1.43 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group by 0.08 percent; Clothing and footwear group by 0.04 percent; Transportation group by 1.01 percent; The Personal Care and Other Services Group was 0.07 percent. one group experienced deflation, information, communication and financial services group deflate by 0.04 percent. While the other five groups did not experience significant price changes.
The calendar year inflation rate is 2.96 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.96 percent.
