Abstract

In October 2022 in Palopo City there was a year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.86 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.91.
Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices which is indicated by an increase in accumulated price index of all expenditure groups, namely: Food Group, beverages and tobacco by 8.50 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group by 1.00 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity and Home Fuel Group Stairs by 2.13 percent; Equipment, Equipment and Maintenance Group Household Routine by 2.43 percent; Health Group of 0.78 percent; Transportation group by 16.79 percent; Information Group, Communication and Financial Services by 1.02 percent; leisure group, Sports and Culture by 1.04 percent; Education Group of 3.36 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group of 2.50 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services Group by 0.67 percent. The other two groups did not experience significant price changes.
October 2022 month-to-month (mtm) inflation rate is -0.49 percent and the inflation rate for the calendar year/year to date (ytd) inflation is 4.95 percent.
