Abstract

In September 2022 in Palopo City there was an inflation of 1.74 percent with Consumer Prices Index (CPI) of 113.47.
Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the accumulation of the price index for all expenditure groups. Of the eleven Expenditure Groups, two of them experienced inflation, namely: Food, Beverages and Tobacco by 1.64 percent; the Transportation Group by 10.12 percent. Three group experienced deflation, namely the Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel Group by 0.01percent; the Fixtures, Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance by 0.25 percent; the Personal Care and Other Services Group by 0.16 percent, while the other six groups, did not experience significant price changes.
The inflation rate for the calendar year is 5.47 percent and the inflation rate for the year to year is 6.32 percent.
