Abstract

On February 2022, in Palopo Municipality, deflation was 0.03 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.94.
Deflation occurred due to prices decreased as indicated by the decrease in the accumulation of the price index for all expenditure groups. Of the eleven Expenditure Groups, one of them experienced deflation, namely: the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 0.25 percent.Meanwhile seven expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely: Clothing and Footwear group by 0.05 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group by 0.05 percent; Equipment, Equipment, and Household Routine Maintenance group by 0.14 percent; Education Group by 0.04 percent; Transportation group by 0.20 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group by 0.19 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services Group by 0.09 percent. Meanwhile, three other group did not experience a significant price change.
The calendar year inflation rate is 0.33 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.92 percent.
