Abstract

On January 2022, in Palopo Municipality, inflation was 0.36 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.97.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the accumulation of the price index for all expenditure groups. Of the eleven Expenditure Groups, five of them experienced inflation, namely: the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 0.43 percent; Clothing and Footwear group by 0.01 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group by 0.03 percent; Equipment, Equipment, and Household Routine Maintenance group by 0.26 percent; Health Group by 0.20 percent; Transportation group by 0.91 percent; Information, communication, and financial services group by 1.11 percent; Recreation, Sports, and Culture group by 0.15 percent; Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group by 0.15 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services Group by 0.02percent. Meanwhile, one other group did not experience a significant price change.
The calendar year inflation rate is 0.36 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 3.06 percent.
