Abstract

In June 2022 in Palopo City there was an inflation of 0.40 percent with Consumer Prices Index (CPI) of 110.58.
Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices which is indicated by an increase in prices most of the expenditure group price indices. Of the eleven Groups Expenditures, four of which experienced inflation, namely: Food Group, beverages and tobacco by 0.84 percent; Residential Group, Water, Electricity, and household fuel by 0.21 percent; Equipment Group, Equipment and Household Routine Maintenance by 0.49 percent; Food and Beverage Provision/Restaurant Group by 0.58 percent. One group, the Clothing and Transportation Group, experienced deflation of 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, the other six Guilds did not experience inflation.
The inflation rate for the calendar year is 2.79 percent and the inflation rate for the year to year is 4.03 percent.
