Socialization and Launch of the "Desa Cantik" Program in Sabbamparu Subdistrict

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Palopo City, together with the Sabbamparu Subdistrict, launched the Desa Cantik (Desa Cinta Statistik, or Village of Love for Statistics) Program as a step to enhance data quality in support of local development. This program aims to raise community awareness about the importance of accurate data and to improve the capacity of subdistrict officials in managing statistical information.

During the socialization event, the Head of BPS Palopo emphasized that valid data serves as the foundation for making well-informed decisions to ensure sustainable development. "With accurate data, we can design programs that are more effective and aligned with the community's needs," he stated.

The Camat (subdistrict head) and Lurah (village head) of Sabbamparu also welcomed the launch of this program, hoping that it will enable Sabbamparu to become a model for data management at the subdistrict level in Palopo. The active participation of both the community and subdistrict officials will be strengthened through data collection training provided by the BPS team.

This launch of the Desa Cantik Program is expected to bring positive change in the availability of high-quality data, enabling development projects to be more targeted and beneficial for all residents of Sabbamparu.
