In May 2024, BPS Palopo City will carry out data collection activities on village potential. Village potential activities aim to collect various information regarding the condition and potential of the village/sub-district area. This data collection not only covers potential aspects such as employment, education, health and the economy, but also identifies vulnerabilities such as natural disasters, environmental pollution and security disturbances.

Through the 2024 Podes data collection, the government has a strong foundation for planning sustainable regional development. The data collected allows the government to allocate resources effectively, identify urgent needs, and design targeted development programs to improve the quality of life of village/district communities. It is hoped that this data collection will advance villages to become entities that are resilient, independent, and able to better overcome challenges, through collaboration between the government, community and various other related parties.
